So I worked on a film project a couple weeks ago and met this amazing Special Effects Make-up Artist and saw some of his work and let me just say that it is amazing. He is holding a workshop on the 27th and 28th (More info Below). It is going to be great! Everyone should come!!! :)
SPECIAL EFFECTS MAKE-UP WORKSHOP
Alexius Pictures and Surgical Dalliance Films in association with APA Talent Managment welcomes Los Angeles-based special make-up effects artist Graham C. Schofield for a two day workshop in Ogden , Utah . Schofield is a key player within the special effects industry and was handpicked by a local director to be the special effects coordinator and artist for a recently completed SAG short film aimed for the film festival route and is also attached as Special Effects Coordinator for a horror feature scheduled to shoot in Utah in 2009. His many film and TV credits include Clive Barker's "Midnight Meat Train, "Tropic Thunder," "Epic Movie," "Untraceable," "Tales From the Dead," as well as the hit TV programs "NCSI," "CSI: Vegas," and "House." This October he will be working for Universal Studios for their "Horror Nights".
The workshop will cover hands-on learning in injury simulation, blood, prosthetic application, and demos in rubber mask making. He will provide information as to where to find materials online as well as at local Halloween stores. For more information about Graham C. The workshop will be held September 27 and 28 from 10am-6pm at the Kiesel Building in Ogden ( 2411 Kiesel Avenue ). The cost is $150.00, which includes all materials as well as lunch for both days.
